21st Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Medicine – Latakia University

The Faculty of Medicine at Latakia University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presents the 21st Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Medicine, bringing together medical academics, healthcare professionals, and experts from Syria and abroad.

A key session of the conference explores the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare and digital transformation, with a particular focus on its practical applications and potential to improve medical education and healthcare delivery in Syria.

The session examines how AI and digital technologies can support healthcare systems, enhance medical education, improve clinical practice, and contribute to the development of more efficient and innovative healthcare services.

Scientific Symposium

Title:
Advancing Healthcare Systems, Medical Education and Medical Practice in Syria

The programme includes presentations addressing:

  • Advancing medical education in Syria
  • Healthcare systems and their adaptation to the Syrian context
  • Medical professionalism, communication skills, empathy and teamwork
  • Quality improvement, medical audit and quality improvement projects
  • Healthcare in Syria: resilience, excellence and a culture of quality improvement
